ABOUT THE CENTRE FOR BIOPHOTONICS

We are a multi-disciplinary research team developing new optical imaging technologies and making these available to biological and biomedical researchers.  Our expertise spans physics, chemistry, biology, software and we work closely with collaborators worldwide to produce and provide new imaging solutions for the study of complex structures at spatial scales from the sub-cellular to the whole organism.

The Centre houses a range of optical microscopes and mesoscopes, cell culture facilities, and image processing and analysis technologies. Please contact us to discuss your imaging requirements: if we don't have what you need, or if what you need doesn't yet exist, we have the expertise to design it, build it. and apply it to your research.
